YouthBiz MOVE IT committee needed
YouthBiz-Western District Health Service are calling for local young people to become involved in a new active program called Move It.
With funding support from the ‘Go For Your Life’ Positive Body Image program the Move It Project will give young people in the Southern Grampians an opportunity to get fit and have fun with a range of new and different physical activites provide free of charge in friendly, non competitive environment.
Young people will have the opportunity to experience a variety of activities available to them, meet new people, and increase their physical activity levels.
There are also opportunities for young people to join a committee that will be in charge of planning and managing the activities of the Move It program. This is a great opportunity to get involved with the community, and gain some new skills in leadership, teamwork, and management.
The YouthBiz Move it committee along with Western District Health Service will be running their first Move it activity. The activity will be lawn bowls this will be a great chance to come down and learn the skills of lawn bowls and get active at the same time.
Anyone between the ages 12-25 are welcome to attend free of charge at the Hamilton bowling club on the 14th of October at 4pm. The session will involve a lesson on how to bowl and then a game.
